Waxahachie, Texas

Downtown Waxahachie is an odd mixture of glitter, galleries, and glam mixed up against rusty dusty unique antiques and boutiques. I snapped a few shots along my way, enjoying the cool air after a late thunderstorm rolled thru town. It was refreshing to be near the familiar old broken brick buildings with a century of tales to be told, if only those walls could talk. The best part of my walk, was the clomping of horseshoes along the hot summer pavement. Now THAT is a true Texas Tale!

In some ways, it's a little hipper than I would have imagined. But the horse is a nice touch.
