Silk Tie Dyeing

Last weekend after I finally opened the current issue of QUILTING ARTS magazine I decided to shun all responsibility, put away the paintbrushes, toolboxes and calendars and grab a huge bag of silk ties, boil a pot of water and spend the next several hours creating some beautiful dyed fabric. We cut, snipped, tied and boiled..We giggled at the unraveling. Like each one was a tiny package under the Christmas Tree.     click here for directions

Now we have a stash of fabulous tie dyed fabrics.....
awaiting the next unresponsible weekend
