The Body Blessing Project and give-away

My friends Jessica and Heather are holding hands together to bring forth an online course to "instill, encourage and grow a new relationship with your body...and to rid your mind of negative bullying thoughts towards your body"

I was honored when they asked me to contribute, so I will be sharing some of my own stories and photographs about my physical challenges and victories as well as aging with grace.

And they have generously offered one of my readers here a complimentary space
in their e-course!!
All you have to do is leave a comment below and tell me about your favorite body part !!!
Come on...I show you mine all the time...now it's your turn to share yours with me !!

Bring it!!
I will announce the winner Monday July 28

My eyes as I'm always being told that folks can see so much of my real soul and being within them

Jessica teaches in such an amazing way. She instantly makes you feel brave enough to try.

I look forward to reading more parts of your blog :)

I love my heart and my brain. They come up with the most wonderful thoughts and feelings.

WOW! This is amazing and proves that when you need something, it comes into your life at the right time. I'm currently struggling with weight and body issues that I've never had before.

I think my eyes are my favorite feature. It took awhile for me to accept that because I have squinty eyes and was teased for years. In forth grade, when the teacher gave out awards for best, handwriting, best math, etc... She actually gave me an award for best upside down smiley faced eyes! It was horrible. But now, I love my eyes.

Love my heart-it has been through a lot but it is still strong & true. Would rather be vulnerable than indifferent.

I am most mindful of my hands. Love my hands. They allow me to create.

My favorite parts have always been my neck and shoulders, but lately I've been loving the softening of my midsection. It feels more womanly than it ever has before (I was always very thin and am now filling out a bit in middle age), and my C-section scar is an honor to wear.

Love that you're a part of this Deb!!

first off this project(e-course) sounds incredible! i would have to say my crooked smile always showing off more teeth on one side. i love it because i can look back at young photos of me and there it is crooked at the roots:)

I am in love with my hands and my eyes. -- My hands because I can make things, and my eyes because I can watch the world so richly.

I love all of my body!
My heart has been broken in two and slowly mends.
I have scars and stretch marks, all the usual things that come with living a woman's life.
And I am beautiful, the years have made me a believer in this truth.

I have a little mole next to my belly button that I think is very sexy :) I'm much kinder to my body than to my face, but that's part of my body, too, isn't it?

I have been thinking about this all morning, and I have to say that for the most part I love all of it. I mean there are times when I think that some areas might be better if they were a little less, but for the most part I love them because they make up me. Every scar and blemish tells a story of how I got to where I am now.

for years I have struggle with body image - or even for ever. Its a long story that I won't go into but have never been encouraged to love my body. But my eyes are the part that I can see are beautiful and I hang on to that. Slowly I am learning to love my body, slowly, slowly.

My feet are the most beautiful part of my body. The rest is round and lumpy.

I love my shoulders best of all I think. I like their rounded softness that hides a deep strength. Sometime they carry the weight of the world. It is no wonder they ache. The skin on them feels soft and sensual .

My ears. Although they are hidden behind my hair they are tiny, small and perfect. The rest of my body is drooping from age and puffing up after menopause. I am trying to come to grips with this change and not being to successful with it!

I love my eyes and I loved my legs (until recently) I'm learning to love my new scars but I'm still learning! XOXO!

My favourite body part (now) used to be the part I hated the most ~ my baby belly/pouch. For the longest time I couldn't look at the stretch marks or loose skin BUT, after having 4 amazing babies, it's the part I love the most!

I loved my big pregnant belly so much. It was formidable, it was round, it was sexy. It was so glorious, in fact, that I could not contain it and it became its own person in the end. I miss that belly.

i love my vagina.

without it, my children wouldn't have had a path to enter this world and without them i'd be lost.

without it, intimacy with my hubby would be so less gratifying.

sure my eyes get compliments all the time, as does my determined mind and heart…but when you think about it, it's my vagina that has made me the wife and mother i am today.

Thanks for the reminder, Beth! My vagina, my flower... I am oh, so grateful for her. We have a wonderful relationship. Always have. Salud!
As I scrolled thru all of these foxy declarations, my *hands* are the part of me that really wanted the spot here - namely my left hand. It's the prettier of the two, it's more slender and sports the sassy polish more elegantly than her cohort. My left hand is the feminine hand, the one that I used to dip in Palmolive dishsoap as a kid, reenacting the commercial whilst doing the dishes.
My fingers are long and aren't yet showing signs of arthritis. Her palm boasts a long lifeline and it's the strength behind fretting the chords on my 6 stringed companion.
