Soul soothing for me involves stopping, putting on sandals so I can see my toes, and filling a smooth cup with something- either coffee in a large round mug, or wine in a nicely weighted round glass.
Then, I walk slowly and make a point of noticing what's around my feet.
I do this for as long as I can.

Curling up in bed with a good book. Reading has been a lifelong refuge & pleasure.

Fingers crossed because no one is carrying this beautiful magazine, despite my repeated requests. :(

What a gorgeous magazine--and gorgeous you! I've been returning to reading novels, something that shaped much of my childhood but I've let slide recently because I'm too "busy." Well, there is time for what matters. <3 Love to you!

Hot apple cider and a magazine. I stopped buying mags a while back. With digital media possibilities were endless, however, a few months ago I rediscovered the tactile and visual euphoria of turning the pages of a mag and I'm hooked. What a sense of joy I get from bound glossy pages!

A little bit of arting at the end of a busy day soothes my soul.

Listening to calm music while freely sloshing brushstrokes of juicy color across a new journal page is like meditation and is balm to my soul.

Taking a moment to just breathe.

I can be anywhere. I can be doing anything. But taking that moment can change the entire day. In that moment, I chose me. I say: "Yes. I am worth it." And while taking those deep and relaxing breaths, my mind calms itself. My heartbeat slows. And I remember what a beautiful place this world is. I don't need anything, really. Just a couple of moments to breathe.

I love to take a few moments to read...something I haven't had time to do for years! Two summers ago, I went on a book-buying spree in Barnes & Noble, and remembered the joy and delight that reading always brought me...and have been reading voraciously ever since!

Writing is a walk through Autumn paths and Spring lakes, soothing my soul and even my fingers as the hours grow weary. Through writing I can be anywhere, everywhere and simply only in my heartbeat-all three made very clear to me as I bring worlds to life.

First of all congratulations! Over the years, I have found so much inspiration, joy, and beauty from dropping by your blog, Deb. And its lovely to see that energy land on magazine pages. What a beautiful mag, Bella Grace, seems to be!
One simple comfort I practice that soothes my soul? Is breath - finding it in stressful times, focusing on it, coming back to it again and again. And on the days when time is plenty, my favorite way to sit with my breath is at the seashore, in the off season. Bundled up, surrounded by the tides, sand for a seat, and then together the sea and I breathe together. This soothes me like nothing else in the world. Buon Anno to you, my friend!

Might be silly but I talk to my pets. They just look at me and listen.

Every morning I make the bed. And I am in the slow process of decluttering. It's very freeing!

I put my hand over my heart, close my eyes, and take one breath - breathing in love and exhaling peace.

One simple comfort that I practice is turning up the music loud and dancing.

My one simple soothing practice involves aromatherapy -- applying my favorite essential oils to my pulse points, under my nose or to my feet... heavenly.
