Jack is getting along

Most of you know the story of Jack, my stepdad, experiencing Alzheimer's. His recent doctor visit suggested a cane due to some inbalance issues.
Are you kidding me?
He balked, cussed and grumbled.
But just in the nic of time, friends John & Dean decided to gift him with a "Walking Stick".

Jack has been an influence in their lives and talents as members of the  {Rock, Gem & Mineral Club} and traditionally they make walking sticks, hand-carved from exotic wood, embellished with feathers and beads for the Elders they have come to know and respect.

well, let me tell you this.
Jack and his stick are inseperable

he proudly struck this sassy pose after telling the story
of his friends who custom made it just for him
and the height is a perfect match!!

I love this man
and thank you John & Dean
for helping Jack with his walk to be a bit easier thru this life

What a great stick, full of life with its bends and shaping and beautifully decorated. Who wonderful of your friends to be able and willing to help Jack continue to walk and continue to feel independent and dignified.
