In 24 hours, my brave son and his beautiful new wife will be on Texas soil for 2 weeks! My arms are stretched so wide open I think I am going to rip in half!! He is currently stationed in Virginia, and this will be his last hoorah for a while as he deploys in March to Iraq to work on foreign soil for one year. We will walk on the beach at Padre Island, we will sip Shiner Boch in Carmine, we will laugh and cry as much as four adults can possibly muster up! OK, fine, I will be the one with a snotty, red nose and puffy eyes and a smile that would make Mona Lisa giggle.
So for just a while, my life is perfect!
