Day 6: Virgin a Day

I love the primitive, childlike, colorful drawing of this Virgin of Guadalupe.
She is painted on stone in a church of San Miguel
Rebecca is hosting 12 days of Virgins, come see

Set in stone, as they say. I just love the unabashed exuberance that the people of Mexico have for things the love and worship. And the fact that it is all embraced with very little criticism (can you imagine if we did that here? there's be all these little factions of complainers that "it's too this or it's too that...").
Unconditional love, that's what this is.
