~Zydeco Dancing~ "Because of the very lively music, the overall style is small sidewise
steps with relatively steady upper body and no hip swinging, wiggling or
jumping. There are exceptions to this rule, but feel of the zydeco is
very real and consistent. Zydeco dance can be described as the opposite
of swing or ballroom since the direction or feel of the dance is down,
not up like swing or ballroom."
Now with that being stated by Wikipedia, I broke some of the rules because I swung my hips just a bit, wiggled a plenty and jumped all about. The Zydeco music is so alive, fresh and upbeat that not one body part can remain still if you are in the same room...oh that squeeze box, washboard and rich voices that lure you onto the dancefloor for hours and hours in to the wee hours of midnight, which I normally do not experience, unless I am dancing!!

i am remembering the wildest dance of all....
that small sorta skanky bar in guanjuato...
you, me, and those younger girls who pulled us out onto the small tight dance floor.
whew.
we were too lost in the heated moment to take pictures...but i think several men pulled out their phones to snap the moment grinning from the sidelines....
now that was one more than hip wiggling steamy dance.
ummmhum.
perhaps this dance will also hold appeal.....
