That's a funny parody, but to folks not used to cold temps, the weather can have devastating effects. Here where I am, they had the coldest temp ever on record. Pipes are frozen all over town, and no amount of wrapping, (without also adding heat tape or allowing the water to trickle a bit overnight), was going to keep them from freezing. Most folks here don't even have a furnace or heater in their home.
Hope you came through it all right. Enjoy the snow. (Do you know i make snowshoes?)

I grew up in cold country, so I always laugh when people in Southern California tell me they're freezing--and it's 65 degrees!
