15 Feathers

One for each member of the 511th Engineer Dive Detachment

I walked the beach yesterday, cried, wandered,
let go of my Soldier Son who deployed
to Kuwait for nine months

There were so many secret messages
in the form of feathers
I gathered
I walked
I cried

I looked up
I was lifted
Do you see the Secret Message?

touching Mexico, a Postcard from Paradise

Mexico grabs a hold of me...
way down deep inside.
It never let's go.
I am OK with that.

                     come fill your own cup

Loving Lupita Solstice thoughts

Every-time I spend enough days in Mexico, I am renewed. Enlightened. Inspired. Invigorated. Like someone pushed my refresh button so I can I move forward with ease and uncomplicated harmony and peace in my heart.  Of course re-entry is always so difficult after spending time away,  but returning home during week of Winter Solstice seems like the perfect moment to be reminded of always seeking and moving towards the light. Not allowing the dark days of stress and emotional roller coasters dim your light. This does take practice. Determination. Patience. and most of all...LOVE. and of course a few extra twinkle lights can't hurt at all !!

I am alive.
I will thrive.
I will survive.

In fourteen days I wake up in San Miguel, Mexico to return to the beauty of this culture,
tradition of dia de los muertos
and to swim in her hair

If I Had a Million Dollars

If I had a million dollars
I'd buy your love

If I had a million dollars
I'd buy you furniture for your house
Maybe a nice chesterfield or an ottoman

If I had a million dollars
I'd buy you a K-Car
A nice reliant automobile

If I had a million dollars
I'd buy you some art
Maybe a Picasso or a Garfunkel

If I had a million dollars
I'd buy your love
