Hope Flag Project

When Leighanna Light asked what she could do for school kids returning next year to Sandy Hook she "asked" for a call of art in the form of Prayer Flags. I make them. I sell them. I teach workshops making them.
I mailed mine. You can too.

Winter light

Winter lights have changed
houses, windows all aglow
light is everywhere

"even when we can not see
we are the light, the star, the tree"

Big Ass Heart and Texas Pies

Tonight our friend Bud Royer "The Pie Man" is driving in a van from Round Top, Texas to New York/New Jersey with 650 pies and giftcards to deliver to Sandy Survivors who are still living in shelters.
Now you might wonder how can a van hold 650 pies?

But what I really want to know is how in the world can a van be big enough to contain the heart of this Man?

He is father, husband, grandpa, friend, pie steward...all wrapped around a ginormous heart of generosity.

We have worked with this family at Royers Cafe
and witnessed their genuine compassion

{ if you are wondering about a photo of the pies....
sorry....there is nothing sweeter than the generous helping of a giving heart}

So let it be true....
Texas is the only State big enough
to contain the hearts of the Royer Family.
