gettin dirty

Today I volunteered at the local Home Sweet Farm
'twas good for my soul to dig in the dirt, work in the sunshine and mingle with like minded folk.
I will make a weekly habit of this, in trade for offerings from Mother Earth.
Today was Swiss Chard, kale, daikon radish, turnips, kohlrabi, dill, and cilantro.

In the spring, at the end of the day,
you should smell like dirt.

Very cool. The weather was so lovely out yesterday that I spent almost all of it working in the backyard. That is the best kind of tired, the kind you get from working outside in the fresh air and sunshine and DIRT!
