rebuilding my life
ahhh, then came the life on a Caribbean Island, Isla Mujeres. I bought this place with intention of living in Paradise for ever. Maybe transform my 4 bedroom Casa in to a guest house and serve tacos for breakfast in the huge courtyard. Or maybe open an artist co-op. Or maybe have an outdoor kitchen and invite guest chefs for cooking schools. But as destiny would throw me a curve, I ended up in Central Texas with a 5 bedroom Bed and Breakfast. Paradise minus the beach and aqua waters. The best part of my detour in Isla, was when my world collided with Meteo. Little did we know that some day we would be landlocked together cooking breakfast and making beds for travellers at my B&B. Ya know, ya just gotta surrender to the wind when it blows you in a different direction. ~ The answer my friend is blowin in the wind~ Bob Dylan

Well said Deb!
oh my this does look like paradise...and that kitchen is so sunny and cheerful. but life does have a way with curve balls, yes? :)
You were a real hard worker! You did the house perfect! I like very much that certain. Life has always surprices for everyone. You are a winner of life. Well done, Deb. Many kisses.
I came to South Texas from Hawaii. It has been very, very tough. In fact, it just wouldn't have been possible except for the fact that the PEOPLE here are wonderful.
I know that some see the beauty here, but especially after this horrid drought, I have a hard time seeing it.
I am thankful for my friends and family and for the rain!! - Teresa
that is awesome, all of it. life does throw some curves, and we are better off to go with them.
Wow !!!! That is so my idea of paradise - from the location to the colors to the sea, oh that sea !!!!
But you had time there, to soak it up , to heal, to work it out of you. That is amazing. A real gift. And one that brought you home to you. So cool, Deb. I love that you are sharing this story with us.
Big Love !
I mean curtain, of course. (Ah...Ah...)
So the moral is: you just never know. What comes next is never what you expect.
You are so Mamamia!
oh honey! This place was amazing...but the best was the light YOU gave it, and I know you carried that light on to Texas with ya'!!
