this day

demolition begins. must strip walls, ceilings, floors to bare bones. trying to salvage some clothes and fabrics by washing and washing. lost sewing machines, art journals and computers and photographs and.....and....BUT, we have each other and are in this together....we also have a nice place to stay and friends are always trying to feed us....so life goes on and this is just another huge speed bump.

Oh Sweetie! I am so glad that you and Matt complement each other so well, and that he can be your rock. Was it just the front room that has to be demolished, or the whole downstairs? I am thinking about you and praying for you.

Oh, my friend, I am so sad that you are going through this. That you have each other and friends near by to help is sooo good. Oh, it makes me want to fly down to Texas...my heart is doing it even if my body can't quite make it...
Big love and hugs to you. May the recovery be smooth...

Well, not to minimize the damage, but look at those wonderful tall ceilings above the damage! The place will look better than before when you are done.

Oh, sweetie, this is awful, I'm so sorry. I hope your art was preserved, at least? If there's anything I can do, I'm just a few towns over, ok?

What can I do besides offer moral support? I am so sorry that you are going through this stress and hope the insurance company is helpful. Most things can be replaced.
