Tonight our friend Bud Royer "The Pie Man" is driving in a van from Round Top, Texas to New York/New Jersey with 650 pies and giftcards to deliver to Sandy Survivors who are still living in shelters.
Now you might wonder how can a van hold 650 pies?
He is father, husband, grandpa, friend, pie steward...all wrapped around a ginormous heart of generosity.
We have worked with this family at Royers Cafe
and witnessed their genuine compassion.

oh deb...such a giant slice of generosity! perfect story and photographs to send off to NPR's The Kitchen Sisters.
i am marveling at this ginormous plan born from a deeply loving heart....and just how sweet that aroma must be as his van whizzes past on the road to new york!!!
