"Esperanza"

"Libro de la Esperanza", my contribution for the Shrine Auction to benefit the Streetchildren of Oaxaca is a free-form, hand-stitched art journal I made with fabrics and papers. The tiny dollie and puppy dog are stuffed and handstitched, along with milagro, buttons and charms. Each panel includes nurturing hands of compassion, caring, and comfort. The inside pages are stitched with random inspirations from the "Loteria" game and handstamped words, one forming a pocket. This 10 x 11 journal can be used for writing, painting, drawing or collage with 40 pages of quality black and white art papers. May you fill it with your very own hopes and dreams, in turn benefiting the future of a child. Thank you for your interest and support for this cause.

The Auction will open in a few days
Please stay tuned
