Virgin a Day

 Isla Mujeres, Mexico

She is stone.
She is strength.
She is Guardian of the ones laid to rest
She has weathered the salty storms and fierce hurricanes of this tiny Island.
She remains steadfast for us to return and seek solace.

will you follow us on our Virgin a Day journey over here?

I never knew Virgins were so popular, it may have started a whole new love affair!

Thanks Deb!

Ooooh! She is a beaut! And, I love the name of her location-Isla Mujeres!
Your poem is so befitting to the image too.

Yes, these are qualities that all women have. We are the strong, faithful guardians and keepers of the living and the dead, and we watch over and protect the homestead. Mary is a beautiful archetype for the mothers of the world, whether they have children or not. Beautiful photo!

I once snorkeled off this island when I was in Cancun, but didn't really spend any time except for a picnic on the sand. Very beautiful, and I do love that name.
